HOUGHTON, MICHIGAN (May 2021) – After closing for the entire 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Rock Harbor Lodge at Isle Royale will reopen for the 2021 season on May 28 with limited services including its Housekeeping Cottages, Rock Harbor Trading Post and Rock Harbor Marina offering gasoline and diesel fuel sales, pump-out, watercraft rentals, slip rentals and water taxi service. Additional lodging and services will open on June 8 and will be available through Sept. 10, 2021.

Cited as one of the most desirable, tranquil national park lodges to experience, Rock Harbor Lodge sits in the north woods of Isle Royale National Park, located in  Northwestern Lake Superior.

The Housekeeping Cottages are among the lodge’s most notable guest accommodations. Each cottage features a double bed, bunk bed, private bathroom with a full tub and shower, a spacious dressing room as well as a kitchenette boasting a stovetop, microwave, refrigerator, full-size coffee maker, kitchen table, all kitchen utensils including pots, pans, plates and silverware. Cozy bed sheets, blankets and towels are also included.

Additional services and lodging available at Rock Harbor Lodge beginning June 8 include Lakeside Lodge rooms, the Lighthouse Restaurant and Gift Shop, Greenstone Grill and fishing charters. The Windigo Store and Camper Cabins will also open with full services including groceries, camping supplies, gifts, gasoline, diesel fuel, pump-out, watercraft rentals, showers and laundry facilities.
