Program Connects Southern Nevada Businesses with Local Charities

LAS VEGAS (December 2022) – Reckless In Vegas, the high-energy alt-rock band where Vintage Vegas Meets Rock ‘n’ Roll now performing at SAHARA Las Vegas, is partnering with local businesses to help raise funds for deserving non-profits through Ante Up. The group’s founder, Michael Shapiro, created this collaborative community give-back program to connect Southern Nevada businesses with local charities. This month, the Ante Up program announces the NV Energy Foundation as its December partner. To raise funds for HELP of Southern Nevada, the NV Energy Foundation will donate $10,000 directly to the non-profit. 

With a commitment to connecting with local communities, the NV Energy Foundation partakes in various philanthropic efforts, including civic leadership, financial contributions and volunteerism. The NV Energy Foundation is dedicated to making communities in Nevada better places to live and work, which in turn makes them better places to do business.

As this month’s recipient charity, HELP of Southern Nevada assists families and individuals attain self-sufficiency through direct services, training and referral to community resources. Since 1970, the organization has continued to provide direct services to low and moderate income individuals, including emergency shelter, transitional housing, job readiness training, resume building, life skills development, substance abuse treatment, transportation assistance, diapers/wipes/formula, Thanksgiving meals, toys for the winter holiday and installation of energy saving measures.
