WHAT:
From Monday, March 10 through Wednesday, March 12, the inaugural Mystify Magic Festival captivated audiences at Santa Fe Station Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas with three days and nights of groundbreaking performances, empowering discussions and historic moments. The first-of-its-kind event, dedicated to celebrating women and diversity in the magic industry, sold out both its full registration and newly added evening registration, underscoring a groundswell of interest in reshaping the future of magic.
Mystify welcomed a global community of live entertainers, comedians, variety artists, magicians, producers and fans eager to witness a more inclusive and representative stage. Each evening featured a dynamic lineup of world-class performers, including Rachel Wax, Juliana Chen, Alexandra Duvivier, Lucy Darling, Meadow Perry, Scarlett Business and more. Festival highlights included the “Something Different Cabaret” hosted by local drag magician Miss Uchawi and a powerful closing gala showcasing some of the industry’s most trailblazing talents.
On the festival’s final day, legendary illusionist David Copperfield made a surprise appearance, affirming the festival’s resonance within the broader entertainment community. Other notable attendees who appeared at the festival and supported its mission included Shin Lim and his team; Hollywood producer and keynote headliner Diana Zimmerman; Norm Langill, owner of Teatro ZinZanni; acts from Spiegelworld shows; “America’s Got Talent” representatives; “Penn & Teller: Fool Us” winners; board of trustees from the Academy of Magical Arts at the Magic Castle; Randy and Kristie Pitchford, CEOs of Gearbox and owners of Magic Castle Enterprises; and Penguin Magic, the world’s largest magic distributor.
Beyond the stage, Mystify offered hands-on workshops, industry panels and a magic dealers’ room, creating countless opportunities for connection and growth. The festival also awarded 30 scholarships to emerging magicians from around the world, ensuring access and representation remained central to its mission. Stories of queer resilience were also shared throughout the event, further highlighting the importance of inclusivity in the arts.
To continue the festival’s momentum and provide year-round entertainment resources, organizers also launched a Discord channel (@MystifyMagicFestival) offering additional tools and support for magic and variety performers.
