MORMON LAKE, ARIZONA (June 2019) – Mormon Lake Lodge, located amidst the largest grove of Ponderosa pines in Northern Arizona’s Coconino National Forest, introduces “Giddyap Mountain Getaway” packages for the summer travel season. Only 2.5 hours from the Phoenix Valley, Mormon Lake Lodge provides a refreshing destination away from the heat.

Each package includes a horseback-riding excursion, a meal and an overnight stay in a Mormon Lake Lodge cabin for two, with the option to add extra nights and extra guests. The packages were designed to give couples, families and anyone seeking an escape from the heat of summer in the desert Southwest (Sunday through Thursday).

Sunrise Mountain Saddle Up

• • One night cabin stay for two
  • 1.5-hour guided horseback ride departing 7:30 a.m. daily
  • Big Wrangler breakfast at 9 a.m.
  • $198 plus tax for two; $55 per person for additional person in same cabin
  • Add a cabin night for two for $98
  • Add an additional one-hour horseback ride for $45 per person

Chow Time Late Morning Ride

• • One night cabin stay for two
  • Two-hour guided horseback ride departing at 9:45 a.m.
  • Wrangler lunch served in the lodge
  • $239 plus tax for two; $72 per person for additional person in the same cabin

  • Add an additional one-hour horseback ride for $45 per person

Dinner Bell Afternoon Ride

• • One night cabin stay for two
  • 1.5-hour guided horseback ride departing 4 p.m. daily
  • Roundup dinner served in the steakhouse
  • $229 plus tax for two; $72 per person for additional person in same cabin
