AREA15 Orlando Groundbreaking PR Campaign | Vox Agency

The Project

Since its grand opening in September 2020, AREA15 has quickly become one of the most heralded new attractions in the United States. Following the success of its first location in Las Vegas, AREA15 announced it will open its second location in Orlando, Florida, in 2024. With numerous attractions regularly opening in Orlando’s world-renowned resort corridor, AREA15 set out to create a distinctive media moment for its groundbreaking ceremony. The celebratory moment included the installation of a monumentally scaled robot sculpture “Mechan 10” by artist Tyler Fuqua alongside chief executive officer Winston Fisher and chief creative officer Michael Beneville on the land where ARE15 will be built.

The Results

The media event and news release announcing the new location generated substantial local and national media coverage increasing awareness of the Orlando location, including placements in Orlando Attractions Magazine, Orlando Business Journal, Orlando Sentinel and Orlando Weekly. Additionally, national coverage was secured in BizBash and Blooloop.

As a result of media coverage of the AREA15 Orlando announcement, developers received more than 100 inquiries by prospective tenants and partners, resulting in securing the property’s yet-to-be-announced anchor tenant.
