KANAB, UTAH (July 2018) – Parry Lodge, “home to the stars” in Utah’s “Little Hollywood” of Kanab, Utah, announces a new getaway package, “Base Camp to Adventure.” Long known as the “home to the stars,” Parry Lodge is Kanab’s picturesque, nearly 90-year-old property listed on the National Register of Historic Places and known for hosting movie stars and crews shooting films amidst the area’s stunning scenery. Located within 90 minutes of six of Utah’s most revered national parks and monuments—including Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Zion Canyon, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area (Lake Powell), Grand Staircase and Pipe Springs National Monument—Kanab makes an excellent base for visiting these spectacular landscapes. Situated in the heart of downtown Kanab, Parry Lodge offers quaint, comfortable accommodations in the center of it all.
Across the street from Parry Lodge sits the Western-themed Denny’s Wigwam—an emporium for Western apparel and gifts which also serves as the departure point for Forever Adventure Hummer Tours of area natural and archaeological wonders. Tours available include the exquisite Peekaboo Slot Canyon and Grand Staircase (2 to 3 hours); Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park where dinosaur tracks are preserved (2 to 3 hours); Native American petroglyphs (2 to 3 hours); and the Kanab Overlook (1 to 2 hours).
Adjacent to Denny’s Wigwam sits the Iron Horse Restaurant and Saloon, known for its hand-trimmed and open-flame-grilled Black Angus Beef and mesquite-smoked barbecue. It’s also home to Kanab’s only full-service bar.
The “Base Camp to Adventure” package includes:
• Two nights’ accommodations at Parry Lodge
• Two Forever Adventure Hummer Tours to Peekaboo Slot Canyon
• One dinner for two at Iron Horse Restaurant and Saloon
Priced at $490 for two, the package may also be expanded to accommodate extra guests. Inquire for prices and availability when booking.
