LAKE MEAD NATIONAL RECREATION AREA (April 2025) – Hoover Dam Rafting Adventures announces it will host the world’s longest floating Easter egg hunt on Friday, April 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Adventurous families and outdoor enthusiasts alike are invited on this one-day-only Easter “Eggspedition,” which will include a 12-mile rafting journey along the Colorado River and search for jumbo-sized Easter eggs hidden along the riverbank.

Each mile of the route will feature one of 12 large eggs positioned in visible locations, creating an interactive experience as guests float through the canyon and take in the striking scenery. Participants are encouraged to take photos of all 12 eggs along the journey and share them on social media for a chance to win a pontoon boat rental on either Lake Mead or Lake Mohave.

At the end of the rafting journey, every guest will also receive an Easter holiday gift bag filled with candy and other swag items from Lake Mead Mohave Adventures, Get Outdoors Nevada and other local outdoor partners.

Photo submissions for the Easter “Eggspedition” will be accepted from Friday, April 18 through Saturday, April 26, with the winner announced on Wednesday, April 30. Participants can upload their images of all 12 eggs on Instagram, Facebook or TikTok, tagging both @HooverDamRaftingAdventures and @WillowBeachMarina for an opportunity to win.

“We wanted to create something truly different for Easter in Las Vegas—something that blends adventure, exploration and holiday tradition,” said Chad Taylor, director of marketing and guest experience, Lake Mead Mohave Adventures. “Floating down the Colorado River while hunting for giant Easter eggs is an experience families and friends won’t find anywhere else in Southern Nevada.”

Tickets for this one-of-a-kind Easter adventure are $60 per person plus $15 NPS park pass and fees. Space is limited, and reservations are required. For more information or to book a trip, visit https://hooverdamraftingadventures.com/book-now/.
