LAS VEGAS (October 2024) – Mystify Magic Festival, the first-of-its-kind event dedicated to women and diversity in the magic industry, announces its star-studded lineup of presenters and performers. The inaugural event is slated to take place Monday, March 10, through Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at the Santa Fe Station Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Mystify is not just a convention—it’s a transformative gathering where magicians, variety entertainers and magic enthusiasts of all ages, backgrounds and gender identities can creatively connect and become stronger in their craft. Attendees can look forward to celebrity panels, skill-share workshops, insightful discussions, a dealers’ room where magicians can purchase new tricks directly from their creators and more. Trailblazing magicians, speakers and diverse performers representing magic and related fields at the festival will include:

  • Carisa Hendrix – Award-winning entertainer featured in Guinness World Records and Ripley’s Believe it or Not!
  • Rachel Wax – Magician and comedian performing at various venues and TV shows, including “Penn and Teller’s Fool Us.”
  • Alexandra Duvivier – The first French female magician to fool Penn and Teller on their famous TV show “Penn and Teller’s Fool Us.”
  • Anastasia Synn – Canadian stunt performer and magician known for having the most technological implants in a female body.
  • Paige Thompson – A prolific entertainer and resident magician at Chicago Magic Lounge, featured on CW’s “Masters of Illusion,” “Penn & Teller’s Fool Us” and many other media specials around the world.
  • Dozens of other notable magicians, producers, agents and performers in the industry.

When picturing magicians at parties, events, theaters or cruise ships, the typical image that comes to mind is often a dignified man in a suit entertaining guests. Within the entertainment industry, magic has long been male-dominated, with women historically facing significant barriers to entry and visibility. In pop culture, magic is often portrayed as male magicians performing grand illusions or sleight of hand, while women, if included at all, are typically relegated to the role of assistants. This imbalance perpetuates the stereotype that magic is primarily a male craft and creates a cycle which discourages many women from pursuing magic as an art form, hobby or career.

Mystify Magic Festival is ready to create something different. This convention provides a much-needed space for women and underrepresented voices in magic to showcase their talents, share their stories and redefine the future of the art. The festival not only challenges long-standing norms but also sparks meaningful change by inspiring the next generation of female magicians to see role-models on stage and pursue their craft with confidence.

Mystify Magic Festival is produced by Leah Orleans, a touring variety entertainer and
daughter of magicians Danny Orleans and Jan Rose of Chicago, with support from the global entertainment community.

“With this first-of-its-kind festival, I aim to send a shockwave of inspiration and encouragement,” said Leah Orleans. “We’re here to make space for women and LGBTQ+ individuals who are ready to take their entertainment career to new heights. I believe opportunities come from people –  and by being in the same room with the best in the business, the opportunities for change and growth are finally within reach.”

Full registration, including access to all festival events, lectures, the dealers’ room and nightly shows, is now available for $350 per person. A limited number of scholarships for marginalized entertainers and those who need financial aid are available. Scholarship applications open on Tuesday, Oct. 1 and inquiries may be made at the Mystify Magic Festival website. Chaperone and vendor registration as well as tickets to the festival’s gala shows are also available. For more information or to purchase tickets, see the www.MystifyMagicFestival.com.
