LAS VEGAS (June 2022) – Ferraro’s invites guests to experience its next Taste & Learn on Saturday, July 16 at 5 p.m. Taste & Learn is Ferraro’s popular, monthly wine-tasting and education event that provides illuminating wine education along with a menu of expertly prepared, authentic Italian small plates crafted by Chef Mimmo Ferraro.
The July Taste & Learn event spotlights wines from Bertani. In 1850 Gaetano Bertani traveled to Burgundy to learn the most modern techniques of viticulture and winemaking from his friend and well-known winemaker Jules Guyot. More than 150 years later, Bertani continues to make wines recognizable for their stylistic profiles.
Taste & Learn attendees will begin the tasting with a Ferrari Rosé Brut (Trento), an airy and bright sparkling blend of pinot noir and chardonnay. Second on the menu is the 2021 Velante Pinot Grigio, a cool citrus white wine from the Veneto region of Italy. Next, the 2017 Valpantena Amarone della Valpolicella offers a deep, rich and intense taste with a plethora of spices in this red blend. Lastly, guests can savor the 2011 Amarone Classico della Valpolicella, a deep, fruit-driven red wine made with three indigenous grape varieties.
“Following antique winemaking traditions from more than 150 years ago, Bertani offers an incredible selection of vintage bottles we know our guests will love,” said Gino Ferraro, owner, Ferraro’s. “We are thrilled to share four of their most sensational wines paired with delicious Italian dishes at our next Taste & Learn.”
