FIRED UP MANAGEMENT TO DISPLAY “BROKEN, BUT TOGETHER”
AT INSOMNIAC EVENTS’ SECRET PROJECT, OCT. 12 – 13 AND “EL PULPO MECANICO” AT ESCAPE: PSYCHO CIRCUS, OCT. 25 – 26
LAS VEGAS (October 2019) – Fresh from Burning Man, Fired Up Management, the company specializing in bringing BIG ART to festivals, open-air galleries and corporate events, has partnered with artist Michael Benisty to bring his 25-foot-tall “Broken, but Together” sculpture to Insomniac’s Secret Project festival in downtown Los Angeles, Oct. 12 – 13. Insomniac’s Secret Project Festival encompasses a world of art, culture and the sounds of the underground and features everything from immersive, glowing environments to large-scale murals and live graffiti.
Next up for Fired Up Management, “El Pulpo Mecanico” joins the lineup at ESCAPE: Psycho Circus at the National Orange Show Events Center in San Bernardino, California, Oct. 25 – 26. The 23-foot-tall octopus was designed and built by Duane Flatmo and Jerry Kunkel, and made its debut at Burning Man 2011. El Pulpo Mecanico uses 200 gallons of propane and is primarily built out of recycled junk found at the artists’ local scrap yard. A giant cam spins up the center of El Pulpo Mecanico, moving tentacles and eyes while fire spews from the end of the tentacles and top of the head.
