LAS VEGAS (April 2025) – The Mob Museum, the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, announces it will launch season two of its award-winning podcast, “Inside the Life,” on Friday, May 16. Winner of the 2024 Signal Awards for “Best New Podcast” and hosted by former elite undercover agents Giovanni Rocco and Dutch McAlpin, “Inside the Life” returns with a second season to continue its deep dive into the gripping, high-stakes world of organized crime and law enforcement. Each episode reveals riveting, firsthand accounts from a diverse array of guests who have lived inside the life of organized crime in America.

The new season boasts an impressive guest lineup, including:

  • Michael Corleone Blanco: As the son of Griselda Blanco, the notorious “Black Widow” of the Colombian cocaine trade, Michael will offer a personal perspective on life inside one of the most infamous and violent drug empires.
  • Pete Charette: A former DEA agent, Charette will delve into the infamous French Connection, exploring the heroin trafficking network that linked Europe, the United States and beyond.
  • Bob Delaney: Delaney will share gripping stories of his time as a New Jersey State Police officer on Project Alpha, as well as a few iconic moments on the court with NBA greats like Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan.
  • Michael Moy: Moy will shed light on his transformation from a member of Chinatown’s Fuk Ching gang to a New York City Police Department (NYPD) officer patrolling the very same turf.
  • Steve Murphy: Murphy will share firsthand accounts of his role as a DEA agent in the pursuit and takedown of Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar.
  • Terry Rankhorn: The country’s foremost expert on undercover training, Rankhorn shares an extraordinary look into the operations of the underworld.
  • Michele Rigby Assad: A rare conversation with a former CIA operative, Assad will provide insights into her work in the Middle East, her counterterrorism operations and life as an undercover agent.
  • Anthony Ruggiano Jr.: Ruggiano will discuss his experiences growing up as the son of a Gambino crime family hitman and his eventual turn away from the Mob.
  • Myron Sugerman: Sugerman will recount his experiences as the “Last Jewish Gangster,” discussing his and his father’s relationships with Italian American organized crime and their own gambling rackets around the world.

In honor of Law Enforcement Appreciation Week, Museum goers and fans can join Rocco and McAlpin on Thursday, May 15 for an exclusive meet and greet at The Mob Museum ahead of the season two launch. Fans and guests will have the rare chance to hear their stories, take photos and celebrate their impactful work. They’ll be joined by their mentor, former FBI agent Terry Rankhorn. To celebrate the accomplishments of law enforcement, all federal, state and local law enforcement professionals will receive free Museum admission that week from May 11-18, 2025.

In its debut season, “Inside the Life” earned critical acclaim, not only receiving gold for “Best New Podcast” but also silver for “Best Trailer” from the prestigious Signal Awards. Additionally, the podcast garnered a Webby Award nomination in the History Podcast category and a platinum MUSE Creative Award in the “Website – Podcasting” and “Audio – Podcast” categories. These honors underscore the Museum’s dedication to excellence and innovation in storytelling and creative design.

About Dutch McAlpin
Often working in extremely dangerous, life-threatening scenarios, Dutch McAlpin left his more than 20-year career in law enforcement with an endless number of stories. Working his way from a beat cop in the Midwest to an undercover task force agent for numerous federal agencies, McAlpin infiltrated outlaw motorcycle gangs, domestic terrorist organizations, weapons trafficking networks, Latin American cartels, international human trafficking rings and even the Mafia, sometimes operating with three different undercover identities at the same time. About Giovanni Rocco
Elite deep cover agent Giovanni Rocco was responsible for taking down the American Mob organization now recognized as “The Real Sopranos.” During his decades-long career as an undercover for the federal government, he successfully infiltrated outlaw motorcycle gangs, domestic and international terror organizations and the Mafia. His role in Operation Charlie Horse brought down several high-ranking members and associates of the New Jersey DeCavalcante crime family, which ultimately led to early retirement and the relocation of his family.
