LAS VEGAS (July 2024) – The Autism Coalition of Nevada (ACON), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, announces it will host “Michael Jackson – A THRILLING Tribute” at The Smith Center on Thursday, Sept. 5. Proceeds from the electrifying evening of entertainment will benefit the Autism Coalition of Nevada.
Presented by Falynne Lewing and her dynamic team of professional dancers, this tribute promises to transport audiences into the world of the King of Pop himself. Attendees will be dazzled as Lewing and her professional team of dancers breathe life into Michael Jackson’s iconic moves with an exhilarating performance that will leave guests on the edge of their seats.
From the infectious rhythms of “Off The Wall” to the spine-tingling spectacle of “Thriller,” the timeless groove of “Billie Jean” and the slick moves of “Smooth Criminal,” this show will be a thrilling journey through the greatest hits of one of music’s most legendary performers. With classics such as “Dancing Machine” and the empowering anthem “They Don’t Care About Us” also on the bill, audiences can expect an unforgettable night of music, dance and spectacle.
Falynne Lewing, the force behind this tribute, is an inspiring figure. As a person with autism and a speech impediment, her life serves as a testament to resilience and determination. Lewing began performing “Michael Jackson – A THRILLING Tribute” at age 12 in Reno, Nevada. At age 14, Falynne’s show advanced to one of the largest stages in North America – the Grand Sierra Resort’s Grand Theatre, where she realized her dreams were within reach. There, she took on a larger role by singing, dancing, creating the media and engineering the sound for the entire show. At age 23, Lewing now leads and produces the entire live tribute show.
Originally created for fun, the tribute has transitioned into a mission to give back to the community. Lewing aims to open doors for other individuals with autism to fulfill their dreams of singing, dancing and stage production. Both ACON and Lewing extend a special invitation to members of the autism community to participate in the show to showcase their talents or contribute to the production.
“Our intention with this tribute show is to host an exhilarating performance that shares Michael’s message of ‘heal the world’ while positively impacting the local community,” said Michelle Lewing, Executive Director, ACON. “We invite everyone to join us and experience a night to remember while also raising funds to support individuals and families whose lives are impacted by autism.”
Proceeds from the evening will support ACON and the more than 12,000 individuals statewide living with autism, as well as the community organizations, providers and family members who care for them. Attendance will not only provide guests with an incredible experience but also contribute to a worthy cause within the local community.
